You're having a nightmare, and you aren't alone. Someone is here with you in tonight's strange, dark dreamscape--for better or for worse.

Chased: Bears, tentacly monsters, giant vengeful wasps. You need to escape from it but you can't find a way.
Trapped: Elevator, sinking ship, cave. You're in and you can't get out.
Performance: It's often quoted that people fear public speaking more than they fear death. You don't know the script, you've never seen this Powerpoint, the teleprompter is blurry as hell... forget falling, you're about to die on stage.
Hated: You know those dreams where everyone you know accuses you of something terrible and they all hate you now? Yeah. It's that one tonight.
Disaster! You're on an island and a volcano erupts! You're next to a river and it floods! Never mind how geologically, climatologically, or physically likely it would be in this location in real life, it's happening now.
Haunting past: Your bad memories are just waiting for you to let your guard down, and what's more unguarded than sleep?
Wildcard: There are infinite nightmares in infinite combinations... why not put together your own?

He's under the sky on the rooftop deck when he falls asleep, the breeze from a coming thunderstorm ruffling his hair left loose about his shoulders, strands blowing against his cheekbones. It's nothing troubling; Ganymede loves being outdoors when he can see the weather rolling in for miles, and he'd been humming a little song under his breath while the dogs played in the unseasonably warm weather, pouncing and rolling around each other. But they'd settled down eventually and with his head pillowed on Ashley's lap so had Ganymede.

The dream started innocently enough, wandering in a meadow as far as the eye could see, tall grass and wildflowers all around him, the rustling of small animals in the undergrowth, and the dark, pregnant gray clouds overhead casting the scene in a strange otherworldly light. He twitched in his husband's lap as he ran in his dream, chased by something unknown, unseen but that felt like icy fingers a fraction of an inch from his spine.

While Ganymede lay sleeping Ashley was back and forth between scrolling on his phone and watching the dogs play. Of course he snapped a picture of the man asleep on his lap and updated Instagram. Fingers thread through the long, dark strands of hair, gently drawing lines against his scalp. Occasionally catching the wind blown pieces and tucking them away from his face. Ash has always been a creature of perpetual motion, always on the go, itching to move and do something. Days like today ground him and keep him firmly rooted in place, the gears in his head stop churning and he feels calm.

"Ganymede?" He says softly when he feels him start to twitch.
