The Nightmare meme

You're having a nightmare, and you aren't alone. Someone is here with you in tonight's strange, dark dreamscape--for better or for worse.
- Chased: Bears, tentacly monsters, giant vengeful wasps. You need to escape from it but you can't find a way.
- Trapped: Elevator, sinking ship, cave. You're in and you can't get out.
- Performance: It's often quoted that people fear public speaking more than they fear death. You don't know the script, you've never seen this Powerpoint, the teleprompter is blurry as hell... forget falling, you're about to die on stage.
- Hated: You know those dreams where everyone you know accuses you of something terrible and they all hate you now? Yeah. It's that one tonight.
- Disaster! You're on an island and a volcano erupts! You're next to a river and it floods! Never mind how geologically, climatologically, or physically likely it would be in this location in real life, it's happening now.
- Haunting past: Your bad memories are just waiting for you to let your guard down, and what's more unguarded than sleep?
- Wildcard: There are infinite nightmares in infinite combinations... why not put together your own?

Out of all he heard, Hopper1 becoming a malgam... now that piqued his interest.
It was something that admittedly hadn't occurred to him out of the many experiments he could do. He was almost upset that Gigst thought of it before he did! But it gave him something to do, since his interest in that boy with the dark flames had waned over time.
This was going to be fun - for Geryon of course.
The cube in his hand begins to shine a brilliant gold. Geryon looks down at the chemy with a sinister smirk, taking in the sight of it being utterly helpless and powerless. Unable to stop the inevitability of this moment.]
Now, let gold envelop you.

Knowing what it does about how this works - it's a different kind of malgamization process than what the Dark King did, or running into Malice "in the wild" - doesn't make it hurt any less.
But like when that happened, still Hopper1 tries to press resistance, to keep even some part of its mind from bending to Geryon's will. The pain of the transformation itself, meanwhile, is immense.
If it's able to speak at all, it is almost definitely screaming inarticulately.]
((How much should we emphasize the personality-shift the Golden Malgams tend to inflict on their source Chemies? Or should it just be being able to command it to do what he wants?))
no subject
[He just watches as the Chemy transmutes into a malgam with a grin.
So far it's just like he imagined. Though a bit different since him and Gigist go about creating malgams in different ways. It's only a matter of time before the chemy bends to his will, even if at first the chemy has some bite to it.
But that makes things more entertaining, no?
This experiment is turning out to be very fun for Geryon, wonderful chemisty is happening.]

[Hopper1 had asked, once, when Houtaro and Rinne weren't around; Neminemoon and YoaCerberus hadn't been very talkative about it, and it almost seemed like they didn't remember what being a Golden Malgam had been like.
But as the pain subsides, everything starts to feel... better. Like things are how they should be. Dark power surges through it, steadying it. The Hopper1 Malgam rises to its feet, feeling more... centered.
Just say:]
I am yours to use, Lord Geryon.
[And a little piece of its mind, chained down inside itself, is all but drowning in these new feelings, these convictions so opposite its own. NO. STOP-]
no subject
This is exactly how he imagined Hopper1 as a malgam, and so much more. Though with some differences compared to Gigist's... More gold is present, as how it should be.
It feels good, having a new malgam to express control over. And its the beloved chemy of that boy no less!]
Good, good... And how does my latest creation feel?
[He's sure there's a small defiant part of the chemy still in there, but that's exactly why he asks it. To torment that small part that still wants to fight back.
To remind it the inevitability of the situation.]
no subject
... Hungry. Though being near you gives me strength, Lord.
[The Malgam grins, one to match its master, even as Hopper1 itself is horrified.]
no subject
After a moment of thought, Geryon thinks of something truly sinister. Something to break the little part of defiance that is still present within his new creation.]
Well, we can't have that now can we?
[With a wave of his hand, a homunculus is formed. Frighteningly enough, it looks exactly like Hotaro. The homunculus then begins to fall to the ground, trembling in fear.]
"Hopper1...?!"
[It is not Hotaro. But it looks like him. Sounds like him. Even acts like him, despite not truly being him. Though it's still more than enough to envoke true dread within what little part of the malgam still wishes to break free.
And the smirk across Geryon's face says everything about why he created it.]
no subject
That hadn't resolved its pain then, of course - but there was no one to distract this Malgam now. Hopper1 cringed; lacking the ability to fight, even the ability to look away, all it could do it seemed, was bear witness.
No! Nononononononono- What are you DOING, stop-]
Thank you, my Lord. I will savor this meal.
[The Golden Malgam, meanwhile, leers at the replica Houtaro before darting after him. Will the boy put up a fight? ... The Malgam kind of hopes he does.
Feed your former friend, Houtaro, with your body and despair alike!]no subject
"Hopper1! Please come to your senses!! Stop--!!"
[Meanwhile Geryon just watches in utter delight as his creation goes for the boy. Taking in both the despair of the image of Hotaro, and for the part of Hopper1 that so desperately wants this to stop.
He can only imagine the pain any remnants of Hopper1 must feel right now, and it's such a delightful thought for him to imagine about.]
CW: Predation on Human Lookalike
Its Malgam self eating its best friend... or deliberately drawing the act out? Deep in its own mind, it screams and screams - and there is no answer.]
CRUNCH.
[The sensations of taste filter through the Malgam's perception, all too clear with a nightmare's immediacy, and the Chemy is filled with revulsion.
The Malgam lets Houtaro scream - and then, after the first few bites, unleashes a locust horde to speed things up.
And, of course, to see Houtaro's reaction - though also to see if this merits Geryon's approval.]
no subject
It may not be the real Hotaro, but he still takes immense pleasure of the scene that plays out before him.
He laughs yet again.]
Good, good... Eat to your heart's content, my creation!
no subject
[When the Malgam finally stands again, there is no more glitched hesitance - while Hopper1 still refuses to fully give in to these feelings, it has been crying, tiring itself out under the strain of not being able to move, or exert control over the Malgam.]
I must confess, my Lord... while he was delicious, something about it was... lacking. What do you recommend next?
no subject
How about this?
[Geryon's ring shines, creating homonculi of the rest of Hotaro's allies. Rinne, Spanner, Renge, Sabimaru, Minato too.
They all express either shock, anger, or fear over the malgam depending on each of their temperaments. They again look, sound, and act like their real counterparts but are not them.
Perhaps that is what is lacking? Another experiment to try then, see if these ones don't satisfy the malgam either. And if not, find a way to get the real deal...]
Do you think this will satisfy you?
no subject
I wish to chase them, my Lord. To luxuriate in their fear.
[Even as that fragment that is still Hopper1 panics and despairs further...]
no subject
To chase them you say...? I can grant you that.
[With a snap of his fingers, the homunculi are granted the ability to move. They begin to run away, since these forms are powerless. Making them completely vulnerable. But the fear is very real.
Giving the malgam the perfect subjects to chase.]
no subject
Renge, then Sabimaru (savoring his screams especially); Rinne, and then Minato for last, even when the latter tries repeatedly to defend the younger-looking homunculi.
Locked away, Hopper1 starts to feel itself become numb to it all - even horror and disgust become harder to sustain as the feasting continues. It is simply too tired.
But it knows how wrong this is, still.]
no subject
He wonders just how whatever little of the chemy inside the malgam feels. He wishes to know how broken it must feel to witness the deaths of several homunculi shaped in the molds of each of it's friends.
If it was ever going to fight back, it would probably be too late for it now. It must be so devastated after being forced to witness all this...
Which is exactly what he is hoping for.]
no subject
Is there something you wish for, Lord? Something else you will of me?
[Hopper1 itself, meanwhile, still only wishes it could block this out. Or apologize, despite this being a nightmare, it was still wrong to- even to have happen.
It is overwhelmed, and tired.]
no subject
But one more experiment can never hurt.]
I wish to see what your prowess in combat is like, my creation.
[With a twist of his cube one more homunculus is formed. This time it takes the form of SteamHopper. Which is of course to rub more salt in the gaping wounds the chemy inside must be suffering from.
The homunculus is stanced, but won't move until the malgam is ready to fight.]
no subject
The Malgam, meanwhile, seems quite interested at the prospect. Sure, this fight naturally couldn't happen... but its performance here could please its master further.
The Hopper1 Malgam draws itself up into a ready stance, holding its locust-horde in reserve for later.]
no subject
Meanwhile Geryon watches intently. His eyes focused on the two as the battle is about to begin, and intrigued at whatever the results of this experiment might bring forth.]
no subject
Within, Hopper1 curls in on itself, wondering when any of this will stop.]
no subject
You've done well my creation.
[But there's one more thing he wishes to do, though with not the malgam itself this time... but the chemy inside.
His eyes glow red, and suddenly he's talking directly to Hopper1 within. Who can hear his voice echoing within clearly.]
Having fun in there? Because I've been having a wonderful time with this little experiment.
no subject
And then Hopper1 is addressed directly.]
Hopperper.
[Tired as it is, it can only barely manage to glower at him, subdued and suffused by that red glow. What does he even want?]
no subject
Things went much better than he ever could have expected.]
