Night at the Museum

The museum is closed. The doors are locked. Everything is quiet... up until the moment where all the exhibits stir to life.
- Roman City: It's Ancient Rome itself! But at 1/60th size. Take a stroll down the Appian Way, tour the seven hills, enjoy the heated floors, make friends with the tiny plastic populace... but be very careful if you wander down to the Coliseum.
- The Universe: The planets, the stars, that majestic dance of the cosmos. Place your hand on the visualization of the timeline... oh, looks like you've found yourself at the beginning of the Age of Stars! As in you are there, in space. Breathing is fine, and the view is spectacular... but the early years of galactic formation were pretty chaotic, so watch out for space debris.
- World of Animals: Most natural history museums have at least one collection of taxidermied animals, and this one is no exception. Say hello to the dodo!
- Hall of armor: You know how when you're walking past suits of armor, you start wondering if they might come to life? Guess what, they have. Maybe you could chat about the fate of the Angevin Empire. Or you could mortally offend them with a night/knight pun. And why are their swords so sharp?
- Fossils: The ancient creatures of bygone eons, captured in stone and amber, are getting a second lease on life. Right now. It could be fine, maybe it's just the fossil ferns stretching their fronds, or maybe it's something that realized it hasn't had lunch for sixty-five million years.
- The gift shop: Normally, the biggest risk here is to your wallet. But now there are hordes of tiny plastic dinosaurs, plush marine mammals, and overpriced figurines storming all over the place.
- ...Other?
Natural history museums are full of variety and are always changing up their exhibits! Feel free to come up with your own!

7 - i hope you dont mind having a japanese scifi superhero tagging along
Inside the museum there's apparently a Japanese History exhibition going on, displaying an assortment of artifacts from the country -- statues wearing faded kimono robes, old katanas and other weaponry, woodblock prints, Jomon Era pottery, and more. With permission from the museum's curator, Hikaru stays over for the night in hopes of catching the source of these noises.
...Curiously he's setting up a tent in the middle of the main hallway for some reason.]

The only MAJOR problem is that nobody at the Ministry apparently told him what he can do to handle the assignment as discretely as possible. Which might explain why Harry is being cooped inside a tent in the hallway: not exactly a location for his newest assignment, but honestly he had seen much worse things than being slightly underprepared for an undercover work.)
no subject
Woah! What the-
[He couldn't help but blurt out in Japanese, but immediately switches to English upon questioning.]
Who are you? [Actually the real question would be-] ...A-and how'd you get in here!?
[Harry should be lucky that Hikaru didn't raise his gun at him. It's pretty visible on his belt holster, which seems out of place with the colorful and vibrant Hawaiian shirt he's wearing.]
no subject
Oh Merlin! Look, sir: I can explain about why I did have to be stuck inside a tent in the middle of the hallway.
My name is Harry Potter, an Auror in Training. I was sent here by the Ministry of Magic to investigate the strange happenings in this very museum. Unfortunately for me, I was, um, not entirely prepared on how to handle it as discretely as possible.
no subject
...Right, not to sound rude Harry, but you didn't get your head knocked in while drunk, did you?
[Then again that still doesn't explain how this guy managed get into his tent without making even the slightest noise in the first place.]
But no seriously, how'd you do it?
no subject
(He darts off to find his rucksack and grabs for a large cloak of intricate detail to show Hikaru one part of he got in. The Potter family heirloom hasn’t left him for a long time since Dumbledore gifted it to him on Christmas Day.)
I was able to sneak in using this. This cloak has been in my family for generations and it does a good job in hiding whoever uses it as if they’re invisible. It does come in handy in plenty of stealth missions in the Ministry. Which technically this current assignment of mine falls under.

[While Hikaru still remains somewhat skeptical at Harry's explanation -- the thought of having to literally magic his way through the museum and into the tent is kind of a stretch -- he's learned early on that in this wide, expansive universe... there are endless possibilities. So magic isn't entirely ruled out somewhat.
Plus he can transform into a 50m tall giant alien so there's that.]You can turn invisible with this gaudy-looking thing? No offense though.
[He grins, partly in jest. Can't make fun of someone's important family heirloom for too long.]
Well in that case, mind if I-
[But before Hikaru could even attempt to reach out and inspect Harry's cloak, a loud thud could be heard from one of the exhibition rooms. Alarmed, Hikaru stands up and turns to the direction of its source.]
...What was that?
no subject
(Harry quickly draws out his wand from his jacket, just to take some precautions in the event that he has to fight whatever is making the noises. But he can’t tell if the source of the thud is evil or not just yet.
He then asks Hikaru if he wants to join him in finding the source of the noises.)
So, um, want to check on where the noises is coming from?
no subject
Checking things out is what I'm here for in the first place. C'mon let's go!
[Whether either Hikaru or Harry take the lead, the moment they reach the exhibition room, they'll find an assortment of old Japanese samurai armor from different points of time, and coming from various regions where each one has its own identifying flair.
It's then Hikaru spots one of the displays have fallen off from its pedestal. He lowers his gun, letting his guard down after seeing it.]
Weird... how'd this fall on its own?
[The surrounding area is just eeriely quiet, and there's a strange feeling that they're being watched right now. But as far as Hikaru could see there's nothing unusual going on except for the fallen display. He eyes on the armor for a moment before picking up the helmet.]
...We should probably put this back up. Can't have anyone see this when the museum opens up again.
no subject
(Harry picks up the helmet from the floor, wondering where the wearer went to or if they have hone into hiding. This wizard is starting to have a strange feeling that someone could be spying on them as they try to put the helmet back on its display.)
Yeah, we should put this helmet back on the display soon.
no subject
[It's hard to say who the suspect is when they don't have any other visible clues in the scene right now. While Harry takes the helmet, Hikaru grabs hold of the chestplate... realizing how easy it is to hold it up.]
Huh! This thing's a lot lighter than I thought. I've always had the impression that they look really heavy just like the suits of armor you'd see in castles.
[He places the chestplate back on the stand where it originally hangs, and waits for Harry to put the helmet back on.
And as the two converse, unbeknownst to them there's someone clad in black clothing, hanging on the ceiling and quietly observing them. Finding a chance to strike.]
no subject
And you’re absolutely right about it being much lighter than most suits. I haven’t encountered this many suits that is as light as a feather. Now I wonder who or what could have caused to this suit fall down onto the floor.
(Harry does his best to put back the helmet onto the display after Hikaru fixed the chest plate. He is going to go pick up the other pieces of armor as well, not knowing that a black cloaked and shrouded individual is watching both him and Hikaru fixing up the armor display from up above.
Oh dear, if only they had the chance and timing to look up and see the mystery person spying on them right now.)
